I just got the xbox and the NHL game is far superior to the PS2 version. You just have to get used to the controls, which wasn't too easy considering I had played an xbox maybe 3 times in my life prior. Here is the thread I started with the exact same question pretty much.

I love my xbox. So nice.

Yes I bought mine pretty much for 07 and I knew a couple people with it. Awesome game, controls did take me a while as I was first time xbox player. About a week in I had it down pat.

I bought it for 07 too. I was going to wait until it was released but then a deal at Futureshop came up so I bought it a couple months early. This is the first system I've had since the Genesis and it's so nice being able to play both PC and Console only games.

Seems like a lot of people with a 360 and 07, we should start a league or tournament.

i did the same with 07 and i don't regret it one bit. lots of other great 360 only games to get and when you see those games on a 46' LCD HDTV with full surround sound, the experience is incredible

NHL 08 isn't coming out for original Xbox if that's what you brought.

If you want to spend over $500 for one game...

I think that would be a little bit silly.

NHL 08 has potential to be the best NHL game ever made. But like the poster above said, don't buy a system for JUST one game. Buy it for it's features and type of library of games the system will have.

If you do buy one, wait until after next week at least. I'm E3 will bring a price drop for the 360.

don't buy it now because I think there are way too many problems with the Xbox 360 especially the "Ring of Death", The news said Microsoft probably have to spend 1 Billion dollars trying to fix the problem... try to wait another 2 or 3 months to see if they can actually fix it.. according to the news, almost 20 to 30 % of the total xbox 360s had that problem...

What exactly is this ring of death?

I bought my xbox at Costco for their no hassle return policy because people recommended it.

I've had mine since August and have had no 'Ring of Death'. The DVD-ROM is a bit screwy though but I'm going to wait until they switch over to a quieter model and I hope I can get one as a replacement.

ditto what is the ring of death?

I've had a 360 for about 9 months now, works pretty good, once in a while it can't read a disk and says I should clean it, but overall not bad.

It's when instead of the ring on your system's power button being green it's red meaning there's a problem. I've only seen it happen on mine when the power went out and all I had to do was restart it.

If you want to get a 360, I would get the Elite since I'm sure those are a lot more reliable then the original 360.

played this game last night. it's hilarious! run around a mall with zombies everywhere and anything you can find is a weapon: bat, toolbox, lead pipe, chainsaw, auger, lawn mower, propane tank, cash register, park bench, beach umbrella.

if you like zombie movies, you'll love this game.
