Well, I dunno if there are any record collector's out there but if there are - post some of your most prized LP's!

This is all 4 editions of the new Boris & Merzbow - just got it in the mail yesterday:

I have a decent copy of KISS - The Originals, that's supposed to be hard to find I think. I'll post a pic later if I remember.

Is that the same artist that did all the Yes albums in the 70s?

Most prized? Do you mean for the music, or the artwork?

I'm fond of my copy of the Big Country Wonderland EP. I imagine it is quite rare.

Them's some pretty nifty looking records. I tried to look that band up on the internets and couldn't find a homepage or anything, just reviews and obscure record labels.

I have a beat-up copy of an Elvis record my uncle bought in 1956 and wrote his name on the cover. That's kinda cool.

I have about 175 or so records and I have no idea if any of them are worth anything - probably not. I do have a fairly limited edition Lemon Jelly 7" (1,000 copies I think) that came out recently called "Rolled Oats". It comes in a hand-stitched burlap bag with the title silkscreened on and it's coloured vinyl.

It's probably not worth anything, but hey. It was hard to find because it was an "underground" release, and the place I bought it mail-order from in the UK didn't know what it was.

thanks. not too surprized you didnt' find a ton on these guys - they're a bit off the beaten track.

The artist who did the Yes covers is Roger Dean. He also did the Uriah Heep covers and several other lesser known bands' covers. I have a collection of some of his art as desktop wallpaper. Cool stuff.

As for my most prized vinyl, it would be tough to distill it down to just a few from the 1200 or so albums I have. The best stuff would include a lot of original 1960s stuff from Dylan, Hendrix, The Beatles, Stones, Pink Floyd, Ten Years After, Janis Joplin, Paul Butterfield, Mike Bloomfield, Clapton's bands, etc., etc. The most valuable would probably be on original Sgt. Pepper album. Some rare, off beat stuff too, like Tiny Tim, Mahishnu Orchestra, a bunch of blues guys ...
