Anyone else notice this helicopter buzzing around in circles for the last 10 minutes? I presume it's HAWCS, strange time of day for it to be around though.

I know it's probably not related, but GlobalTV has their new helicopter...so that'll be another helicopter regularly in the sky.

That sounds like HAWCS on a search and rescue mission.

I believe they just hired some new pilots. Perhaps it is just a training mission?

Does Calgary still have two choppers? I thought quite some time ago they were planning a second one...

HAWC2 went up a couple of years ago and HAWC1 went in for an overhaul. Apparently we just got HAWC1 back, but with a shortage of pilots we haven't seen much of them lately.

Maybe it's just a kid with a remote-control helicopter and you are misjudging its elevation?

Do you happen to only have use of one eye?
