for anyone who hasn't driven the route in the last year or two, the GIGANTIC columns for the new highway #1 near golden are really, really big.

still two lanes though...

BC, what a place.

'let's build these 200-foot pillars into the sky, with no future expansion, because why would we want to be like the rest of the highway #1?'

actually it may be a federal project, i actually haven't looked into it. whichever it is it's supremely ridiculous.
