Default Should the Stamps hire Barrett?

If the Roughriders can him should the Stamps offer the offensive coordinator job to Barrett? He does know the ins and outs of Burris and if the Stamps are stuck with Henry maybe Barrett can get the best out of the guy?

Danny fired:

Tillman considered bringing Barrett back for one more year but said: "In the final analysis I had to take emotion out of the equation and look at the inner turmoil within this organization."

If Danny would accept the job as Offensive Coordinator I am sure he would be hired right away.

However I am sure Barnett will land a new Head Coaches job pretty quickly.

I'm not so sure. Whatever the 'inner turmoil' is, GM's could be scared that he will bring his turmoil with him.

Over the last few years he's turned from all smiles to crusty ... I remember him running up the score, complete with onside kick at the end of a blowout vs the Stamps. Not exactly the best way to make friends.

apparantly, during the press conference, Barrett said something to the effect of:

he said "whether in the red and black or red and white, (laughs) I mean green and black or green and white"

No no no.

I want no part of DB. Let him go be a mediocore coach somewhere else in the league. That will help the Stamps as much as having him as our OC.

Edmonton has male cheerleaders... maybe we have a position open for Danny-boy.

Default Bye Bye Barrett...

Well, it's not like nobody saw this coming...

After much speculation, the future of Riders Coach Danny Barrett is now clear. At a Monday afternoon news conference, team management announced that Barrett's contract will not be renewed. Barrett is the longest serving coach in the team's history. Watch the CTV News at six for the full story.

I'll leave the other obvious comment for Fotze.

Pass. I personally want Danny Mac to retire and take over as OC.

Thanks! I didn't know you could do that!

I could care less if Calgary picks up Barrett or not, it would probably work to Sask's advantage if the Stamps did pick him up, but if they won the cup under him.... I would be ****ed off. You took Burris off our hands (thank God!), sure, you can have our sloppy seconds coach too.

It really makes me wonder about the girls in Sask when the guys are considered sloppy seconds...

I guess all the wheat might make for a yeast-heavy province...

I am not even sure what this yeast comment means... all I know is that wheat, barley and yeast are key ingredients to man's greatest creation - beer.
