Default Vatican calls for Jerusalem gay march to be banned

"It is clear that the Gay Parade scheduled to take place in Jerusalem will prove offensive to the great majority of Jews, Muslims and Christians, given the sacred character of the city of Jerusalem," the Holy See said in a letter to the Israeli foreign ministry.

There is nothing gay about a bunch of men wearing long robes and pointy hats?

Ahhh...I am getting tired of these religious groups getting offended. Suck it up. The vatican needs to just mind it's own business.

Why do gay people have to parade?

I want a straight parade.

That's exactly the point. Straight people don't march through the streets for the purpose of getting people to notice them.

I personally have a problem with gays parading around...

What? That's what Ann Coulter would say...

And apparently some gay people want to have a parade. Good for them. Who cares?

But don't you understand?! This planned gay-parade that isn't going to affect me in any way, shape or form really irritates me. I mean, I even had to read about it in a thread on a calgary flames message board! talk about an invasion of my personal space!

Why did those blacks have to march on washington? I didn't see any asians having a silly parade.

And what about carnival in brazil?! I didn't see any jews having their own little parade either in Brazil either! What makes Carnival so special?!

There is nothing gay about priests having sex with young boys?

I support gay parades in their intentions, but find them counter productive. From what I know they seem to exagerate the negative stereotypes around the gay community instead of shining light on their positive aspects and diversity.
I would think they want to eliminate stereotypes such as "they're all sexually premiscuis (sp?)" and I don't think a bunch of naked guys dancing around does that.

religious pundits will cry to all who will listen.

if we keep buying papers and reading websites and watching television that is full of agenda-driven pap, then whatever major corporate interests deem worthy of shoving down our throats will continue to

'pop up'.
