The Dallas Stars have traded RW Eric Daze to Quebec for Jason Strudwick. "We felt we had some depth at that position with Zednik and O'Neill, so we had a chance to improve on the blue line so we did."

Stars new defence:

Aucoin (77) - Cullimore (74)
McGillis (74) - Strudwick (73)
Volchenkov (71) - B. Ference (71)

The Stars would still like to add a high 70s defenceman or possibly a defenceman with a 80ish rating. The Stars are attempting to move 3 2007 first round draft picks to acquire the defenceman. The Stars have almost $10M in cap room as well.
