Bookmakers have Eric Bana as the frontrunner to be the next James Bond, closely trailed by Clive Owen, Hugh Jackman, Colin Farrell, Orlando Bloom, and Jude Law.

I think the Brosnan years have been really good for the Bond franchise, probably the best era after Connery's reign. None of these guys seem to me that they would be able to deliver a one-liner with the standard Bond dryness. Bana has a sense of vulnerability about him, an emotional openness that just doesn't fit the character. Personally, I would love to see Rupert Everett as Bond. Not an action hero, but could carry off the Bond charm better than anyone else.

I think they need to hold off on making Bond movies for a while - pretty soon, if not already, they're going to be very stale. Give it another 10 years before releasing another when the public will want to see a new one, rather than releasing one every 2 years.

I dunno about Bana as Bond...but he might suprise. He was very good in Troy..and in Black Hawk down....seems like an actor that could play a wide range of roles.

......or maybe I just think he looks hot with his shirt off.

I agree with those saying that they should put a hold on the bond movies... there hasn't been a good one since Goldeneye.

I enjoyed Tomorrow Never Dies with Michelle Yeo - great non stop action, a very different feel to a Bond flick.

I'd rather see Clive Owen in the role, after all we know he can drive like a Bond from all those BMWFilms....

Die another day was in 2002 right?

I think its probably good to wait until 2007 for the next one.

Have 5 years between the movies.

They tend to flood the market when they name a new Bond and guys get worn out too quickly. Every 5 years would be perfect, a Bond movie every two years or so it stupid. Its just to much.

Eric Bana, Hugh Jackmen, and Jude Law would be fantastic choice's.

They also need to get James Bond to do some actualy spy work.

The day Orlando Bloom becomes Bond is the day Bond dies forever.
