Default WTB: TV DVD's - The Shield, West Wing, 24

Edit: I've already purchased West Wing. I have added Sports Night to my WTB list.

I'm looking for:
24: Season 3+
The Shield: Season 2+
Sports Night: The Complete Series Boxset

I'll pay $30 for 24's and Sports Night. I'll pay only $20 for The Shield since there are only about 13 episodes in each of those seasons.

gonna be hard to find Shield Dvd's for sale. Fans of the show are the ones who buy them and are least likely to sell them and I know I wouldnt sell them for $20. I got all 4 seasons that are on dvd but aint selling.

Yeah no doubt, if you want to get the Shield on the cheap try ebay, or shop around, you can find them around town for about 30 bucks a season.

I found Season One of The Shield at Zellers for $30 (and bought it). All the other Seasons were over $60 though. But, if one season is cheap, so will the others be somewhere, sometime.

Given that you can get a season for $30, $20 for a used copy isn't totally unreasonable. I'm not in a hurry, someone might sell them for that sometime.

I just bought the Shield season 3 for $27.99 at FS in Shawnessy ( Calgary) tonight. They also had season 1 and 2 for the same price.

Hah, thanks for the heads up. That is indeed the cheapest price in the city. I didnt buy them because they are fullscreen; I'm undecided if I even want to own any more fullscreen media.

After some research, I've found out that ONLY fullscreen DVD's of The Shield are available in North America. Widescreen versions were released in Europe, but there are no plans to release Season 3+ in that region.

Even though the episodes are filmed in widescreen, they are edited down to fullscreen. The producer feels the confining feeling from fullscreen more accurately captures the essense of the show.

Personally, I hate watching Fullscreen on my widescreen TV...
