Unbelievable stuff coming out. And this from what is considered a conservative paper who in the past has cooperated in keeping the lid on news matters.

Its not really that unbelievable considering the limited scope of that particular operation.

I'm not sure why they would opt to go that route with all the negative reports about military behavior coming out week to week. Wouldn't just be easier to take them prisoner and be done with it?

It could be valid.

It could also be a desparate defense from somebody who's going to spend the rest of his life breaking rocks in Kansas.

This one could get very ugly for the pentagon if found to be true, but it seems like a defence tactic. Really the only way these guys can go free is to get into a "we were ordered to" defence.
