Default Remembering Chernobyl - 20 Years - April 26, 1986

I remember it very clearly. I was in high school at the time, and my parents told me as soon as I came home from school. It was a weird sensation of astonishment and fear at the same time, that something that catastrophic could actually happen.

A couple of videos:

Rememberance of Chernobyl
Chernobyl 20 years
Chernobyl

Let us remember those people who died or had family members die from this catastrophy.

Yeah, I remember it as well. Hard to believe it is 20 years already.

I read somewhere a few years ago, that every person on earth contains some radiation with Chernobyl's unique signature.

RIP to all those who died from this disaster.

I was probably living less than a 1000 Km's west of Chernobyl at the time....Ive often wondered if I will have any adverse affects because of it.
