Scariest urban legend?

I love urban legends. In fact, a remake of the 1979 cheesy-thriller When a Stranger Calls is coming out in theatres on February 3rd! Trailer!

It's the one everyone has heard. A babysitter is terrified by strange calls by a creepy man breathing "Have you checked on the children?" on the other line.

I've always been freaked out by this one:

Supposedly, at another college in the state, a girl was studying late and went back down to her dorm room to get some books or notes. So she wouldn't disturb her roommate, she didn't turn on the lights when she got her stuff off of her desk. Later when she went back to her room, she found her roommate dead and a note written in lipstick on the mirror. It said, "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?"

A company takes out a newspaper advertisement claiming to be able to supply imported hard core pornographic videos. As their prices seem reasonable, people place orders and make payments via cheque.

After several weeks, the company writes back explaining that under the present law they are unable to supply the materials and do not wish to be prosecuted. So they return their customers' money in the form of a company cheque. However, due to the name of the company, few people ever bother to present these to their banks. The name of the company is:

Gang Initiation Weekend. ( Please Read Very Important!!!)

Police officers working with the DARE program has issued this warning: If you are driving after dark and see an on-coming car with no headlights on, DO NOT FLASH YOUR LIGHTS AT THEM! This is a common Bloods gang member "initiation game" that goes like this:

The new gang member under initiation drives along with no headlights, and the first car to flash their headlights at him is now his "target". He is now required to turn around and chase that car, then shoot and kill every individual in the vehicle in order to complete his initiation requirements.

Police Depts. across the nation are being warned that September 23rd and 24th is the "Blood" initiation weekend. Their intent is to have all the new bloods nationwide drive around on Friday and Saturday nights with their headlights off. In order to be accepted into the gang, they have to shoot and kill all individuals in the first auto that does a courtesy flash to warn them that their lights are off. Make sure you share this information with all your friends and family who are drivers.

I know gangs are bad and all, but they're mostly used for people to survive in ghettos. As well I highly doubt something like that is true as killing another gang member makes it likely that you wont get caught, killing a innocent person increases your chances tenfold.
