People care enough about the Wild to hate them?
The only thing I've ever hated about the Wild was when they were in the Flames division and they played them 8 times in a season. 10% of the games against the most-boring opponent in the league.

I hate them because they are so boring..
At least the sharks have the jaws theme and the arms chomping..

I have a soft spot for Minnesota because I spent a fair bit of time there during my life and have good memories there. The Wild have also been more or less inconsequential to the Flames.
The Sharks have been a thorn(ton) in our side a few times over the years. They even had their first franchise win against the Flames in their pitiful inaugural season, so we are linked to their history in that way. Plus, if your logo has a hockey stick in it, that's automatic time in the dungeon for me.

Never hated the Sharks, even when they were good and beat us all the time. Thornton, Marleau, Burns are all beauties.
Anaheim on the other hand, #### those guys always

yeah dont understand the hatred for San Jose, there is literially no reason to hate them. They are a fun honest team with fans that dont come across annoying or hostile.

This is how I feel about both of these teams. Minny might be the only hockey fanbase in the states that I actually respect and believe they care.

The Wild are the worst. Never good enough to be interesting, never bad enough to be interesting. For their entire existence, all they have ever been is boring. A suffocating boring, that makes everything they touch boring too. The most interesting thing they ever accomplished was drafting Gaborik, and that was gifted to them.
Even teams like the Oilers are better than them, at least the Oilers are no good enough to hate. The Wild are so consistently mediocre that it sucks all the joy from the game. Seeing the wild play makes me not want to watch hockey anymore.

I imagine people who were tuned in for the 90s playoff loss will pick the Sharks?
Otherwise, it's a bit of a toss-up, and 'Minnesota plays such boring hockey' is what separates them for me.
