Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2025 - Round 26
Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!
As per usual ...
1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

I still think there are some potential in some still on the board. Will be interesting to look back after one more year of development. Jamison again for me. In a good program and won the fitness testing for rookies last time they did it.

Okay, check out Jamieson's progress.
https://www.eliteprospects.com/playe.../eric-jamieson
He's 6'3", 205 already, has very good scouting reports on his defensive game and physical play, and then was given the "A" and then the captaincy of the Silvertips. His production isn't amazing, but he does score quite a few goals for a defensive defenseman (had 14 last year). Plays pretty consistently well in the playoffs too, with quite a few games of experience now.
He's committed to University of Denver this year, which is a good thing for his development.
Again, his stats aren't eye popping, but he has a lot of intangibles that make me think he has a decent chance of making the NHL.

Been around the block enough to know that it doesn't matter how tall a prospect is if they don't make the league.
Jamieson's a good pick here. I remember there was some behind the scenes footage of training camp last year where Huska and another coach thought Jamieson stood out. Don't usually hear late round picks getting singled out for praise in training camp out of their draft year so that's a good sign. (An overager though of course.)
Intrigued by Lane going PPG in the OHL as well. Excited to see what he can do at Harvard this year.

I've been around long enough to know 3rd rounders make it more often than 6th rounders.
