What NHL executives think of Craig Conroy’s first year and a half as the Calgary Flames General Manager
Over the last few weeks, I had the chance to chat with a few NHL front office members. I wanted to get an outside perspective on Craig Conroy’s GM tenure so far. Both were very generous with their time and gave fantastic answers. I thank both for their team and thoughtful answers.
Should the Flames make a trade for Elias Pettersson?
Elias Pettersson is a 26 year old highly skilled, smart, cerebral, 200-foot centre… when he is playing to his potential.
He is one of the more interesting players in the NHL. The range of outcome with his game is massive. Probably the widest gap of any player in the NHL.
The Farm Report - 06.01.25
In his first two games behind the Wranglers bench against the Abbotsford Canucks on Dec. 30 and Jan. 1, Cirella noted the seamless transition.
“They (the team) work hard and we’ve put together work prior with Trent and I think it’s been seamless going in, so it didn’t disrupt anything,” he said. “The guys know what to expect and what’s important and they’ve kept doing it and we’ve been successful so far.”
'One That She'll Remember Forever'
Moms really are the heartbeat of any family.
So, yes, you can bet the blood was pumping at full throttle when 23 of the players’ moms climbed aboard Air Flames to accompany their boys on a two-game swing through southern California.
“She's ecstatic,” said MacKenzie Weegar, whose mom, Louise, has arrived from Ottawa to enjoy her first-ever NHL road trip. “This is our chance to say thank you.

Taking a while to get to 5000
Ducks are playing well at the moment, won't be an easy one and the Pond could look like the haunted house of old.
Pick a lane Flames.

Just lose. This team needs to plummet down the standings and Anaheim is a team they need to finish behind

Anaheim has been a lot better. Flames lost 2 in a row. This should prove to be a fun game to watch tonight. Looking forward to it.
What I won't be looking forward to is Gudas and Trouba taking runs at Calgary's guys and having Johnston backing them up. Just hope nobody gets hurt tonight.

Looks like we have more odds to win the lottery than the cup.
Anyway I would like to see younger players to play.
Time to start call up some young guys after this mom's trip.
