I guess Drury wasn't a fan of Kakko speaking his mind about being a healthy scratch.

The Rangers are a mess, not sure this does much to change things.

Okay, not a huge return. Sure we could have beat it

A barely NHL dman and two mid picks.

Some folks wanted to give up a 2nd and Pospisil right?

Thanks goodness he's off the market finally

Over rated because of his former draft status IMO

Man, I wonder what Conroy's offer was.

Shirley, it had to be better than this, no?

Pretty clear (to me anyway) that Conroy wasn’t actually interested.

Swing and a miss.

This does nothing to help either team at all. Shuffling of deck chairs is all this is. Kakko is very mediocre, picks are picks & Borgen sucks.

I don't like he was dealt to a division rival, knowing our luck he breaks out now.

I think he has loads of potential, but also think that Conroy is trying to build a very specific mood in the room. Conroy was part of the Flames 2004 run.

I got the impression that Kakko was high skilled, but not especially willing to get into the dirty spots. There's a video of Trouba hitting Kakko in practice. I assume that was because Kakko wasn't giving enough effort (and possibly because Trouba's a jerk).

Edit: Also possible Kakko didn't want to be part of a rebuild.

Seeing the cost, Conroy must not have been interested.

There couldn't have been too much interest in general. Drury must have shopped him around and I think every team knew he was available, and no one wanted to beat that offer I guess.

I would have loved to see the Flames match this deal, but not too disappointed either.

Clearly the return shows how KK is valued league wide

This tells you what the value is of this player lol. People wanting to offer up 1st and Coronato or Pospisil.

The offer could be easily beaten but the league felt he wasn’t worth it.

He likely is out of the league soon.

He knows how much 'Ks' cost in pure jersey lettering!

Are there any kind of milestones he needs to hit in the near future? First NHL hat trick maybe?
