Devils 4 Flames 2
Devils 4 Flames 2
- Flames finally score first and have a solid first period
- Devils with a great road trip from that point on
- Sharangovich scores against his ex mates
- Wolf unlucky with two ping pong goalsl

Don't think the lineup changes had anything to do with the Minnesota game since they played Carolina after that and some people got the flu.

One of the least entertaining games so far this season. Both teams played pretty poorly and I watch the Devils a lot so familiar with their play. I hate afternoon games and the flu!
Wolf unlucky for sure. Sharangovich has really emerged as a very strong 2 way player. Great goal yesterday.
On to Denver and the Avs are a hot mess right now.

If the target is 94 points Calgary now has to go 33-19-3 the rest of the way (.627) or 103 point pace.

^Well that ain't happening!
I'm backing to cheering for wins while watching but feeling good about losses. A higher pick will help more in the long-term.

Solovyov really stood out to me. I think he has a lot of potential and could turn into a solid 2nd pairing defenseman. Whether lots of minutes in the AHL or bottom pairing minutes in the NHL is better for his development, I don't really care. Just develop him.
Very strong game from Sharangovich, if he played like that day in and day out he's probably still a Devil. He runs far too hot and cold for my liking.
I find it interesting how Lindy rolls 4 lines. Not sure if that had something to do with the back 2 back, but the 4th line was out quite a bit coming down the stretch. They were on the ice for the Kadri goal and I was wondering to myself if he'd put them out again, which he did.

End of the second period against the Greasers and the Devils have 3 penalties called on them so far and miraculously zero yesterday against Calgary?!?

I hope you're right on the Solovyov ceiling.
I'm happy that he seems to be stepping out of the 7-8 slot and more into a 5-6 in his last two games; huge sign for me.
Not sure if there's another rung in that latter, but happy when you get a 5-6 out of a 7th round pick.
