Did he really make a difference though? 4 points in 10 games.

The Hawks are going to get another top 3 pick, eh? At this point, the Hawks will win another cup before a Canadian team does.

1st OA pick, showed skill in Edmonton but... Edmonton. Goes to NJ wins a Hart and then gets hurt the next season and hasn't shown anything since. I was hoping he'd have a great end to his career but he just can't catch a break.

To be fair, if the Hawks had drafted McDavid / Drasaitl, or Matthews / Marner / Nylander, I'm pretty sure they would have built another championship team by now.

This should help them draft in the top few spots.
If they land Cole Eiserman…Hawks will be well on their way to dominating again.

Agreed.
Edmonton’s incompetence is awe inspiring. I love it.

I said it before the last draft that the Hawks would get the 1st OA, the NHL wants them to be good again, it makes them money.
So you can pretty much guarantee they will get the #1 or #2 again this draft to help them on their way back to greatness asap.

He should be happy he isn't in Mulletville still.
They would have taped an aspirin on it and made him play on.

Any lottery team should trade for the lucky horse shoe.

I guess the Bruins were right to give him away. Tough injury luck though, hope he can get back and play a couple more years productively.

This took me to reading his bio on NHL.com and I laughed at this:
Quote:
He had three assists in a 5-1 win against the Colorado Avalanche on Feb. 21, 2022 to give him 50 points in 66 games for the Bruins since the trade, tying Brad Boyes for the fourth-fewest needed by a Boston player in the past 20 years to reach the mark, behind Marc Savard (39), Bill Guerin (54) and Jarome Iginla (65).
|
Uh, yes, such a notable accomplishment...?

Bit interesting that both Hall and Klingberg are on LTIR today.
Both agent case studies of why you should tell your player to take the big contract being offered and to not bet on yourself on a 1 year deal to try to parlay that into a bigger contract.

Definitely true, gotta think at this rate Hall has another 2-3 seasons left in him, probably one year deals, which will eventually end in a PTO and early retirement. Meanwhile his counterpart Tyler Seguin has another three years left after this season at almost ten million a year. Lesson learned, take the guaranteed money, and don't bet on yourself.

Hall never seemed to be able to stay healthy enough for extended stretches in the 'Hawk lineup. As far as "tanking", I hate the concept, but, Forwards haven't been the problem. With a defense that only has an underachieving Seth Jones and a terrible Connor Murphy as the only experienced D-Men, a lot of wins is not going to happen.
