The Flames probably not deserving to win vs WPG has been the general story by everyone, even the Flames post-game show. It's hardly a controversial take IMO.
Pointing it out serves to highlight a possible change from last season (winning those close games, Markstrom stealing one, etc). it's also used as a springboard to discuss that the Flames themselves weren't happy with their game despite the win.
