Default Calgarypuck Prospect Ranking 2023 - Round 25

Welcome to the annual Calgarypuck Prospect Poll!

As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to rookie camp range
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

Hurtig then Lyle for me.

Littler won't be playing college until 24-25 after being a 22 draft pick, and his jr a stats are not NHL prospect level calibre.

Don't know too much about Hurtig but he is a big dman who might (?) be coming to play for the Hitmen this year.

Lyle's AHL stats were pretty good last year, he might be closer to the NHL than we realize

I see Littler, Hurtig and a group of guys that are already non-prospects.

Boltman could take the Looooong way to being a steady number 7 stay at home type of guy, but it is not likely.

Jake Boltmann (Defence)
Team: Notre Dame (NCAA / Big Ten / Sophomore)
Drafted: 80th overall in 2020
6-foot-1 / 201 lbs / Shoots: R
NHL Projection: Bottom pairing NHL defenceman

Boltmann doesn’t have a history of producing a ton of offence at any level of his development. At Notre Dame, he is deployed at even strength and the primary penalty kill. Boltmann is a sound skater and is mobile. He also has some bump to his game, physically. He’s average with the puck on his stick. There are some likable qualities in his game. He produced secondary offence last season but has not seen the same opportunity on the second power-play this year at Notre Dame. At this stage of his development, he is trending as a two-way, possible shut-down ‘D’.
