Hooray!

This appeared to be a toxic relationship and the hockey was awful to watch

I think Sutter is a good coach to get a team over the line - but he hasn't adapted to be able to stick with a team in the long run.

Good on him for getting paid for 2 more years after this though.

I guess the exit interviews with players (and Treliving) revealed there would be a further exodus with him at the helm. I like Sutter, but it's a tough scene with a middling roster.

Owner just ate $8mm. Wow.

Wonder if they negotiated a smaller payout.

Wow. They hinted at it, but I'm thinking the player exit interviews must have been extra spicy.
Clean page for the new GM, I like it.

Completely new room and front office. Good to see they're serious about rebuilding the culture.

I hope they're still looking to trade upcoming UFA's tho. Be smart asset wise, and be future oriented.

The right move.

You can't bring him back after the way he acted and what we heard about exit interviews.

I'm surprised Edwards let them go through with it but it's the right move. It's a shame it had to come to this though. Ideally the players and coach could have worked it out but it appears both sides drew a line in the sand and easier to fire one coach than move out a handful of players under contract.

Thank goodness. Accountability but new style where each player has their own role. Lets scorers score, and agitators agitate.

Players got what they wanted yet again. See how they play now. Not a place I'd want to coach.
