Flames in action against the Ducks after shootout victory

Calgary is 29-23-13 overall with a 9-3-3 record against the Pacific Division. The Flames have committed 273 total penalties (4.2 per game) to rank eighth in league play.

Anaheim is 6-9-2 against the Pacific Division and 21-35-8 overall. The Ducks have gone 18-8-3 when scoring at least three goals.

The good, bad and ugly of the Calgary Flames: Games 61-65

In his last five games, Weegar has outscored his opposition 5-1 at 5-on-5. He has a CF% of 57.79%, xGF% of 52.92%, and also added two assists during this last stretch of games.
This is the Weegar Flames fans were hoping for when they acquired him in the off-season. Let’s hope he is able to keep this going as the Flames pursue a playoff spot.

Jakob Pelletier is having a great impact outside of the numbers

Jakob Pelletier was called up from the Calgary Wranglers just after the New Year hit. He scored 36 points in 33 games in the AHL. Despite sitting in the press box and watching a few games as a healthy scratch after the call-up, the newly turned 22-year-old forward has come into the Calgary Flames lineup and made an immediate impact. Not only is he a fun, clearly light-hearted kid excited to learn more about himself with more NHL experience, but he’s also a very talented player.

The last two games were great but THIS is the test. Can this time finally put away a lowly opponent while playing a complete 60 minute game and keep the momentum/win streak alive?

I sure hope so

Can't take anyone lightly anymore. The Ducks know they have no business beyond 82 games, they'll happily play spoiler.

Yep. Here we go. They beat 2 of the better teams, but does the season long problem of not being able to beat the bottom feeders rear its ugly head again? Cause it can't, not anymore.

Also can't let the first game back after a road trip problem pop up either, though I'm unsure if thats been a major problem this season.

This is a scary game. Could be a trap. The Flames have been vulnerable to traps all year.

I like how all the Flames except Markstrom are wearing helmets in the "Key Players" image in Cheese's original post.

Looking forward to Troy Stecher taking off his skate and trying to stab Trevor Zegras tonight.

Another must win game. I believe the rest of our season rests on Markstrom and keeping his play at a high level, and for our luck to finally continue.

After some nail biting low scoring games I’d like to see the Flames go a little Harlem Globetrotters on the Ducks tonight. Harness the momentum and start having fun winning. Go Flames!

No thanks.

I’ll take an OTW.

I do not want Bedard in the Pacific division. If we have to face McDavid and Bedard in the playoffs we have no hope.

Let Bedard go to CBJ.

You damn right about that. It's not just going out to hunt and shoot Ducks. Bring the Uzi and non stop body checks.

Yup. This is not only a must win, but it will either be a momentum builder, or a momentum killer.

8-1-1 in their last 10 against ANA - I think they will win decisively tonight, and launch their first winning streak of 2023
