All good things come to an end ...
Hey everybody,
I can't say enough how amazing it's been to be a member of this league for so many years. I've been blessed to have it as part of my life and it's helped me immeasurably with being able to closely follow prospects, get a better grasp on player evaluations, and gain some new friends.
I'm finding myself increasingly out on the road these days with work and it's just no longer feasible for me to continue as Islanders GM. These six years have been great and I'll never forget the Cinderella run to the finals, but I'm just not in a position right now where I can dedicate ample time to making this team better.
Thankfully, we're not in a position where we owe a bunch of firsts and seconds (anymore!) so I think a new GM will be able to put their stamp on this team pretty quickly. I'm still always available for advice from GMs on potential trades and just to chat just drop me a PM.
Wild to think that I was 15 and in high school when I joined this league ... it really has been an amazing experience. Thanks to Jiri, Cheese, and everyone else for giving me this place where I could be myself and have a great time.

Going to stay on in a reduced capacity for likely the next month to try and get the team in a position where it's more attractive for a successor to inherit.

I'm also going to say this before I go, with the possibility of staying on if there's a chance it could ever be implemented.
I was briefly part of a sim league — the CBJ GM knows about this — that used a web submitter for lines instead of the STHS app. It made the process quite a bit more seamless. I'm in a situation these days where I seldom have access to a Windows computer unless I'm at home, and the STHS/Mac fix no longer works for recent MacOS updates. I didn't love that league but I did find the aspect of submitting lines far more convenient.
If there's any chance whatsoever that we could switch over to a setup where lines could be submitted from a web browser, even in an upcoming off-season ... that would be really something.

I would be open to helping contribute financially to make that transition to web based lines. I think it would be great for the league. Anyone with experience here that can help make this happen?

I know Knut does. It's such a gamechanger honestly and I think it would be amazing. I have talked to GMs who loved being a part of this league but just had too many issues with the line editor.

I am fortunate that I am on my windows and at my office every day, but totally understand the challenges.
A web based version would be great.

Its just a couple check boxes in the sim FYI. I have our tech guy in the other league giving me some instructions old people will understand.
