Default Telecom line down across road - contact?

So wife told me line was down. Called 911, fire came and temp
secured line up off roadway, but it’s low enough that a tall vehicle could def snag it.

Line has come off one power pole in front of my house, so it’s attached from my house to the pole across the street. If it were to get snagged, it would cause some damage to at least my place, plus lord knows what sort of mess with the rest of the line on the feed side.

Waiting for enmax to get back, but they don’t seem like the responsible party. I’ve booked a ‘service’ call with Telus, but it sure feels like there would be a more direct ‘this isn’t really a cable tv service request, come fix your line in the power pole’ type thing.

If Enmax does eventually get back to me (I imagine they’re slammed) would they have contact for telecom or should I just keep my service appointment with Telus? I really don’t think the guy who took my call was quite understanding the scenario, given they’re asking for virtual technician.

Cheers

Just to add, wife thought it was a power line, checked Enmax who clearly states to call 911 in that case. Better safe than sorry I suppose, but it’s def not a power line.

You could grab both lines and try and reconnect them and perhaps acquire super powers? I'm pretty sure thats Electro's backstory...

Granted...Electro sucked, so its not a great trade-off...

Enmax is the right call. Fire has temporarily secured it (911 was the right call there, too) and CFD should have contacted Enmax to come and finalize the work, but it probably never hurts to keep trying at Enmax yourself and 'reminding' them.

Yep, keep calling enmax trouble response desk but I'm sure they are incredibly busy between all of the downed trees and possible flood.

Even if it not the power line? Sounds like it is the telecom line not the power line. Or maybe I am reading this wrong.

Yup, 'cause Enmax can fix it, no matter what type of line it is (and will likely bill the telecomm for it). Telecomm folks can't touch power stuff, though.

Yep, props to Enmax who came sometime overnight and fixed it. Well done.

Yeah stuff like that gets a pretty high priority level as an SR, I'm sure they would have been there even sooner but it was a busy few days
