Interested to see what goes the other way

I read way back a rumour suggesting a 3 way trade involving Strome and at that time people were discussing Tarasenko’s future

Is Logan Brown anything special, though? His career tends to be trending in a Jankowski direction himself.

Sanford was v good in 2019–20, scored 16 goals and 30 points in 58 games and had Mangiapane-like underlyings. Had a tough 2020–21 season.

I think this is a really nice deal for Ottawa.

I’m disappointed Tre wasn’t in on this kid-6’6”C who just needs a change. Sens got a pretty good player though.

Brown is from STL — the Blues were probably motivated to give up more for him.

Sanford is a bottom six guy who is good at his role. He’s a good player.

Brown projects as a top six guy but hasn’t established himself at the NHL level.

Good bottom six player for a lotto ticket.

Yup, that’s maybe one of the reasons that Tre wouldn’t have made a play for him. I just like the kid, and I think he’ll do well with a change of scenery.

I like this trade for the Blues. I think Brown is worth the gamble.
