The Atlanta Thrashers made a huge deal today with the Blackhawks that saw major components of each team switch cities.
The Hawks had been hot on the Thrashers for Zdeno Chara since day 1 of the current campaign and today they landed the giant dman.
Moving to Chicago with Chara were forwards Richard Zednik and Johan Franzen.
The Thrashers were happy to announce that Martin St Louis would be coming to Atlanta to fill a scoring void along with defenceman Kim Johnsson, forward Adam Hall and young defensive prospect AJ Thelan.
Are the Hawks better after this trade? That remains to be seen. Chara should help the GA. No doubt we will miss the scoring *coughzednikhasasmanypointscough* of St Louis. We are looking forward to the game tomorrow against the Bruins. Could be a real thriller for the poor belaugered Hawks fans.
