Great career. Three Cups, Conn Smythe, 797 points in 1264 games. Very underrated player.

Seems like the type of guy who might stick around the Canes in an off-ice role

The very definition of a playoff warrior, happy retirement.

I think the later years of his career were most impactful. Great way to go out.

Best of luck to him!

Outside being clutch as hell, I'll always remember him not hesitating to fight Giordano. And doing quite well despite giving up some size:

incredible how long he's been around as a very useful player

I remember back in the day when d'oh!biggin was trying to drive Iginla out of town daily with imaginary trade rumours (in the lead up what ended up being the magical 04 run)

he kept escalating the deal that the Flames had apparently turned down on Iginla (presumably to have anger directed somewhere- not sure where that was) by the end I believe the fictitious rumor involved at least 4- if not all 5- of Gagne, Pitkanen, Richards, Williams and Carter or so I've decided to recall it
