Well with Anderson bumped up, it leaves Kylington without his traditional dancing partner, and I think they want to get Stone some reps in also.

I think this might be more about rewarding Rasmus Andersson

Yeah, the key here isn't so much Stone in, but Andersson up and Brodie down.

Kylington can't be worse that Frolik at RW.

Yes, and if you're moving Brodie down, you can't pair him with Kylington. It has to be Stone.

Might also just be to keep Stone active and in game shape. I bet we see this throughout the season. Brodie has been playing well on the top pair 5v5

Dallas is also a bigger team that in years past has bullied us a bit. Makes sense to do this. I would assume they plan on playing Stone against Vegas Saturday as well (brother, bigger team) and don't want him going in cold.

I predict Mangiapane is gonna be a fixture on the second line for a long time

I agree that you need to rotate, just to get guys into the lineup. Not much to see here.

I still like the idea of this:

Hanifin - Andersson
Kylington - Hamonic

I think Hamonic is the stay-at-home guy Kylington needs as a partner. Also, the stability that maturity and experience bring.

Because it is time for Andersson to start moving up the lineup - I think we all pretty much agree on that.

He and Tkachuk could turn out to be a deadly combo.

And who knows? Maybe Bennett and Lucic become a bit of a dynamic duo as well.

My biggest concern on the roster right now - though I am trying to be patient - is Jankowski. I continue to believe that Dube is a better player with more upside. Can Dube center the 4th line right now?

(I am not a fan of Quine)

I am happy to see Rasmus moved up, the balance on the back end is good, lets reward those who are playing well. Good move by Peters.

lets see how it is!

So Bennett hasn't been fired into the sun yet?

He sure whiffed on his shot to play in the top 6 last night.

I love his energy and grit, but I am really wondering about his upside at this point.

In fairness to Bennett, one period is not a trial. The proper thing to do here is give him 10 games or so, and explain to him what needs to change in his game.

He was likely excited at the opportunity, and, in wanting to succeed, ended up doing things that he shouldn't be doing. Good coaching helps push him through that, it doesn't swat him down after a handful of shifts.

Its funny that his "shot" to play top 6 was 3-4 shifts in the first period and while he did himself no favours and played terribly, it is funny to see how short his leash was.

I'm excited to see what bennett ryan and lucic can do. I think that will be a good 3rd line

But for me the biggest positive from last nights game was mangipane making plays on the 2nd line. Imo that line needs a good look

While I agree overall, last night was a clear example of the team needing a shakeup as every line looked terrible.

Mangi seemed to spark the 2nd line.

I really want Bennett to force his way onto the 2nd line though, but I'm not sure if that's likely.

Anyone else think Lucic needs to get to the 4th line ASAP? I've liked him a lot more than I thought I would, but he is an offensive black hole.

I'd be curious to see
Bennett-Ryan-Frolik
Lucic-Jankowski-Rieder/Czarnik
