I am finally making the trip to Calgary for the game on Thursday and Saturday as well, and I am stayin in town till Monday, any reccomendations for stuff to do, places to eat, pub/club life on Friday or Saturday......My buddy has told me that we are about a five minute walk to the Dome, so anything around the main area of the dome would be great.
What kind of weather will I be looking at?? I havent the slightest idea what to expect.
Also, do any of you guys meet up during intermissions of the games, I wouldnt mind introducing myself to a couple of you guys. Lemme know.

Weather?
Chilly at night, during the day who knows.
Places to eat? goto Nellies for breakfast...
Bars? I heard the cecil is good, but it really depends on what you're into.

Nellies is a great place for breakfast. There's one on 17th, next to Melrose.
At night, I agree... the Cecil is a pretty bumpin' place. Lots of activity there, definently something to check out.

These guys are jerking you a bit, Nellies ,Melrose and any bar around there are pretty good, go to Watchmens Friday night 2 for 1 steaks, grab a 15 buck ticket and take in the Stamps game. Bus ride with fans there and back. Good deal and fun.
Watchmen's is on 7th St and 17 Ave SW I think. Not far from the Dome
If you lower yourself to the cecil ask for Elword or Jimmy the postman,(backs to the Vlt's),tell them I sent you. Buy them each a beer and you will live through the night!

haha farthest thing from it .
Our toughest slimeist bar maybe.
Our proud downtown eastside type,if you will.
We have no nasty bars anymore that I know of ,except this and the
St louis. Or community bars like the T@C or the Bowness.
And the bars where people get murdered ,but they are
trendy.
Don't go to the Cecil! Except if you can handle that stuff.
Or want to walk on that wild side.

The only problem is that you have to go in the back door to get in...

To be politically correct, I believe it is now called "The random person entrance".

Nightlife--not much of it here, unless you're into the redneck country hick scene, then head over to Coyotes (2 blocks from the dome on Olympic way) and Cowboys (9 Ave & 5 St SW).
Pubs--A few on the Red Mile, Melrose (the place that started it all...17th Ave & 6th St SW), Classic Jacks (cute but snobby waitresses...very loud atmosphere...9th Street...I think), and Morgan's (good chillin' place...13th Street, next to McDonald's)
Restaurants--If you're looking to spurlge, head for the Calgary Tower's revolving dining room up top, just like the Harbour Lookout, except taller and nicer decor, try the Buffalo steak or Lamb rack, very good. For a lighter budget, there's Smuggler's Inn on Macleod Tr. South & just south of Glenmore Tr, about 10 min cab ride from the dome if traffic is normal. Get your fill on our Alberta prime rib.
Before the game--Head up to the top of the west side to the Alumni Sports Lounge (Formerly Olympic Lounge), happy hour until Flames warmup.
Weather--Cloudy, Cool & Dry during your stay, ranging from 7 - 17 degrees celsius during the day, bring a nice warm fleece jacket and windbreaker as it can get chilly during the night, especially for a west coaster. For details look here, scroll down to long term forecast.
You're welcome B-)

Ha! Not if you've ever been to the coast or Montreal, nothing here in the nightlife scene will remotely live up to those standards. :P

If you want to have a beer at the neatest pub you'll ever drink in, visit the Hop'n'Brew on 12th ave and 1st street. 100 year old house turned into a bar.
