The people of Belgium have been left reeling by the first adult-only episode of the Smurfs, in which the blue-skinned cartoon characters' village is annihilated by warplanes.

I saw the video the other night on Jimmy Kimmel and I thought it was a joke that they'd made up, then the next morning I realized it was real as they were showing it on Global Morning. What Unicef has done is very interesting to say the least.

Here's the funny part; almost ironic. The news is about how this might affect kids who see the ad. The ad is set to air late at night over there; at a time when most young kids will be in bed.

But I saw it twice on Global during their supper hour news. So that means they are reporting how kids might be traumatized by a video, and here's the video in question.
