Mike Vernon should be in the Hall of Fame.

Agreed. He belongs as a builder though, so there's still up to four slots for players.
And to echo others, it's criminal that Mike Vernon still isn't in.

There's a rumour going around that Gary Bettman will be inducted as well.

As much as I think everyone hates the guy, you can't deny they league isn't what it would be with out him.
I think he has successfully grown the game of hockey and kept it as popular as ever, deserving to be in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

This is strictly anecdotal from being born and raised in Calgary, but I’ve never really heard a good thing said about Vernon or Fleury. Induction to the hockey hall of fame should be only on merit anyways, but I don’t think they have a lot of friends/idolizers in the committee.

Fleury's season in 97-98 is one of the greatest in the franchise history. Top 3 for sure. That team was SOOOOOO BAD. He lead the team in goals, assists, points, penalty minutes and played all 82 games.

I am a Fleury fan. Not shy to say it. I think he had a lot of reasons for the chip on his shoulder and I support him 100%. Highly entertaining and deserving of the Hall of Fame in my opinion.

It is more criminal that 14 is not in the rafters at the Dome.

St. Louis???
A great player, no question.
Not a Hall of Famer by any stretch.

Bettman's pick is going to be a lightning rod of controversy, especially with the how the league has hushed away CTA and concussion research over the years.
But you can't deny how much he helped grow the game. The league wouldn't be where it is today without him guiding it, and we wouldn't have the Flames still without him.

I'm sorry, how many 2x Art Ross winners aren't in the HOF?

If Lindros is in, St Louis should be, too.

No one here does. But his resume includes:
Stanley Cup (Debatable)
Art Ross x2
Hart
Pearson
7 PPG Seasons
3 90+ point seasons
1 100+ point season
He's (unfortunately) an easy shoe in.
