. Might be announced during all star game.
Didn't say if they would be regular season or preseason games.
Specifically said Flames are one of the teams in the mix to play in China.
He also said that the earlier report about the Oilers going to play in China next season might be wrong and that the Oilers might be going to Germany instead (Draisaitl).

While we're likely to gain some fans from the billion people they have there, and that might be cool, isn't there a team with lousier revenue generation that the NHL could send instead? (Of course, if we're giving up our away dates, then the point is moot.)
Someone with more interest than me should look at how teams who have traveled outside North America have fared that season compared to the season before and after the travel. Or look at it in someway that attempts to explain whether the travel has some kind of effect on the season, be it positive or negative.

Between 2008 and 2011, the NHL had four teams start their seasons in Europe (6 teams in 2010). In each of those 4 seasons, one of the teams that started its season in Europe went on to win the Stanley Cup.
