I've mentioned the volunteer pet therapy work I do here before. The organization I belong to PALS (Pet Access League Society) is currently in a contest to win $10 000 which would be a great help with overhead costs. PALS volunteers go to hospitals, nursing homes, school, libraries, the airport and other locations to help relieve stress (for example, at the library kids can practice their reading skills in a non-threatening environment by reading to dogs).

Voted. I know how important animals can be for stress reduction. Pretty sure I'd be on my second bypass if it wasn't for my dogs, past and present.

This is the first time I realized they were actually making a beer for the charity. I've just been voting because PALS asked but I never read the whole explanation before. I'll have to start drinking beer if we win!
