Tough night for Sam Bennett and Chad Johnson

Really needed a win as I don't buy the polished record over the last 20 games being a silver lining. They needed that to get back in it. It's professional hockey and like it or not, it's all about what have you done for me lately.

Too many teams chasing that are leap frogging Calgary. Sets up a tough scenario where unless you want to tumble in the standings, have no shot at home ice, and match up with a very tough opponent in the first round, you need to just win baby!

I thought Backlund had a really bad game. He had some bad reads and just wasn't himself. The first goal against is entirely on Backlund/Frolik for not reading the play correctly. Mistakes are made, losses happen - you move on. Johnson's last few starts have been rough, which is sad - because I'm not sure how many more games he'll have in the Flaming C.

Tough back to back losses but Tkachuk is back and Elliott back in will have them back getting W 's.

Sad to see the Chad play so bad. He looks lost and demoralized and seemed to give up after the first goal.

Stone and Engelland were beasts and I though they played really physically and Bart was pretty good too.

Brodie and Gio looked gassed.

Chucker will inject some life into the lineup and cannot wait to see him back......at least he hasn't been spearing people, hacking fingers off of his nhl brothers.

I wonder how much the schedule is playing into the PP woes. Game every other night means little in the way of proper practice and preparation time. Wonder if that is catching up on the team and a few days back home where they can get a proper practice on off-days will help.
