An excellent game overall for the Flames. Great to watch. Elliott with the well deserved shutout! 8 is great, but can't be satisfied. However, the win tonight came at a freaking huge price with the injuries to Hamilton and Stone. That hurts so much if they're out for an extended period. Hopefully precautionary and they weren't rushing them back since the Flames had a big lead.

If it was any other team that caught the Oilers, sans Vancouver, I wouldn't care as much- in fact I'd expect it. But when it's your chief rival, it pisses a guy right royally off. It'd be like any sport, whether individual sports or team sports, and you had a what seemed to be an insurmountable lead somehow disappear so late in the season. Suddenly they're on the verge of not only passing you, but blowing your doors off.. It could have a pretty negative effect on the Oilers...I hope not, but we'll see how the game goes tomorrow.
If Calgary can catch them, anyone can, including LA...10 points in the standings is not safe, as Calgary has proven.
