Oilers building from the bottom up
Today the Oilers and the Blue Jackets made a trade. We acquired Jack Johnson, a 3rd and some cap for 2 2nds and Mark Stuart. We now believe we have one of the best defense groups in the CPHL. It consists of:

Niklas Kronwall 76 OV
Jared Spurgeon 76 OV

Mark Fayne 70 OV
Joel Edmundson 66 OV
That's a great top 5 defense. Yes Jack Johnson has a hefty cap for one more year, but I acquired cap as well and I unloaded Mark Stuart, who will make 5.25 again next year. With that defense going along with two strong goaltenders:

Jaroslav Halak 81 OV
We shouldn't be allowing many goals against. Forwards are something we can strengthen, but defense wins championships.
What are our next moves?
- We will entertain any offers, specifically trying to add forwards.
- I currently have 3 3rd round picks. I want to trade some of those up for 2nd rounders as I don't have any 2nds anymore.
