Default Bold Predictions For Flames 2016-17 Season

Thought this would be fun. What are your "bold predictions" for the Flames this season? Here are mine:

- Monahan scores 45 goals this season
- Flames finish 2nd in the Pacific Division
- Calgary acquires Jarome Iginla & Jaromir Jagr at the trade deadline for a playoff run (I think Jagr is on record stating he wants to play for a Canadian franchise at some point in his career)

Let's simmer down here and be a little realistic.

I always like these.

Alex Chiasson starts the season off on fire scoring 6 goals in 10 games, but finishes the season with 10.

Brian Elliott has a great start to the season but fatigues under true #1 minutes, and by the end of the season Chad Johnson is starting half the games. Johnson starts the first game of the playoffs.

Michael Frolik hits career highs in goals and points.

TJ Brodie and Dougie Hamilton both see their offensive totals fall, but those close to the team observe steps in their overall games.

Chris Higgins makes the team.

Hunter Shinkaruk has a terrible camp, starts the year in the AHL but is called up mid-season and establishes himself as a top 9 forward

Dennis Wideman is a healthy scratch more often than not.

A rookie dman not named Wotherspoon or Kulak makes the team out of camp.

Brandon Bollig scores 8 goals.

Johnny Hockey is a training camp hold out, and eventually is traded east for an impressive haul of assets. The fans are heart-broken but the trade sets the organization up far better in the long haul. Years later fans will look back at the trade as the thing that set the club up to be a championship contendor. BOLD BABY

I don't like making or reading predictions but yours are interesting and aren't all sunshine and lollipops.

These are great. If true, you would need to add "Ricardo and Gaudreauvertime's heads explode".

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

I could see all but the bottom two coming to fruition in all honesty...Maybe not the Higgins one either but you never know with our wing depth

Sam Bennett finishes the season with more goals and points than Sean Monahan. Maybe not all that bold?
