Depending on the show, the LRT gets stupid busy after the show at night. Last time I was there for ACDC in the fall, it was ridiculous. We ended up taking Uber to our parked car.

I always park somewhere and take the LRT. Generally they are pretty good at adding additional trains if they expect a lot of people.

Get on Bus at Holiday Inn at 104th Street. Should be in Calgary in just over 3 hours. Showers available to wash off the stink immediately.

Anytime we see a show up there we park in the surrounding neighborhood. There's usually places to park in a little industrial section that isn't in front of people's houses. Probably about a 10 minute walk to Rexall.

I know for football games up there you get free public transit to the games with your ticket, both the bus and LRT...might be the same for concerts. Wish Flames would start doing this.

How about you just sell me the Hip tickets and I'll save you the trip to Edmonton?

But in all seriousness, Clareview LRT might be busy as hell. There's also a lot at Belvedere ststion, and Commonwealth station. Try one of those three and if you get a spot you're laughing.

This was the perfect spot for me when I went to Iron Maiden in April. Just north of Rectal Place on William Short Rd.

Message me if you want a location about an eight-minute walk from Rexall. It's where I always park. I've directed a couple of people from this site previously.

I would also recommend the LRT, either at Clareview or in the south depending on where you are coming from. Bonus is the Edmonton transit actually knows how to sell you tickets simply. If there are more than one of you in the party you just tell the machine how many tickets you need and what type (adult, child etc.) and you get them all in one transaction. Calgary Transit can really learn from that.
That said, we drove through that part of Edmonton yesterday on the way back to Calgary and there seemed to be plenty of parking in the area, and for significantly less than what you pay for Stampede. But still, I think transit would be a good option. It looked like they were running a pretty decent frequency from my observations (we passed near the tracks on and off all the way to the south end of the line) and they run 4 car trains so plenty of capacity too.

Thanks for all the tips.
We ended up parking near Axe Music on Wayne Gretzky drive. Cost $10 for one concert, and $15 for another (WTF?) but in the end, it was money well spent, as we were in and out very quickly.
