They reported on HNIC that the Islanders were asking for permission to talk to Tallon.


Also been reported that Jim Montgomery out of Denver University is one of the people they are considering to coach the Panthers. Flames fans may recall that Montgomery was Gaudreau's USHL coach.

I don't know if Snow is necessarily out, but the Islanders have been reportedly looking for a president of Hockey Ops similar to what Burke or Shanahan is for Calgary and Toronto respectively.

There was a rumor that they offered the position to Tavares' agent in an attempt to make it more likely Tavares re-signs.

Shanahan is actually the President of the team, not the PoHo.

What a ####ing joke of a season. Hey Vinnie, learn from this mess you created. Don't meddle in the day-to-day affairs of the team. Hire the guys at the top and let them do their job.

I still feel bad for Gallant in all this. Unjustified firing and everyone else keeps their job....well except for Tom Rowe....who sucks.

Was just coming in to say it'd be hilarious if Tallon rehired Gallant.

The owner sure messed this up bad. Hopefully for the sake of Panthers fans he learns from it and leaves hockey ops alone.

Has to be frustrating for Tallon as he had that team going in the right direction.
