Default ISIS 'kill list' includes names of 151 Canadians

I don't even know if this has been posted here on CO yet. I don't really want to pile on the mass killing trends these days, but:

http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/i...ians-1.3637214

Should we be really scared?

The people on the list should be. Basically, it's not ISIS who will kill you, it's people who are sympathetic to them in some way. Would not be surprising if someone took their cues and acted proactively on this sort of thing.

Should be what? Afraid? They should be on the list?

Elaborate?

I think you might have misunderstood something here. Or it looks like I didn't get the phrasing.

He means afraid, obviously, but he's wrong.

These people should continue living their lives as normal. Being afraid is a waste of valuable time and energy.

I guess kill list doesn't mean what it used to.

Thank you for being gender non-specific. I guess this helps minimizing your risk to be on the ISIS kill list.....

Meh, I would have been safer just saying "He" as women are forbidden on the internet for ISIS and there is no bot; only Allah.

That's what I meant to say. But what I really mean is, they have legitimate reason for concern. The danger posed by being put on such a list is not trivial, as OP suggests it might be.

It is kind of scary that they didn't just put the names on there, but the addresses. I don't think I would feel too safe to find out my name was on there.

I saw a report yesterday that said the cops were telling people not to be too concerned because the list appeared to be randomly generated by a computer, and some names appeared several times.

I don't know about all that, but I'd be pretty goddamn rattled if my name was on it. Not that I'd think some master assassin was coming for me or that I had reason to be on any list, but some random idiot in Canada would read it and be convinced by youtube that by clipping me he'd be changing the world and would enjoy supernatural rewards for his efforts.
