Default Nihonium, Moscovium, Tennessine & Oganesson
The IUPAC has released proposed names for the four remaining unnamed elements this morning:

Element 113 - Nihonium - Nh
Element 115 - Moscovium - Mc
Element 117 - Tennessine - Ts
Element 118 - Oganesson - Og

Tennessine gets an "ine" ending because the other elements in it's column do (Flourine, Chlorine, etc).

Oganesson gets an "on" ending because the other elements in it's column have that ending (Neon, Argon, Krypton, etc).

Liked for the edmontonisnogoodium tag, and more.
Watched the PBS Nova documentary 'Hunting the Elements' and found it far more fascinating than I had ever thought it would be... but perhaps my biochem PhD girlfriend had something to do with that.

does anyone know if there have been any updates to the periodic table of meats? I believe there are several meats that should be added as their own category - i.e. pizza pepperoni and jerky

Does Tennessine go around merging with its related elements to create deformed developmentally delay new elements?
