My cheap cable is up this month. I wonder how good this stream is cause I really don't want to sign up for cable again. Zero need outside of sports.
I'm the same as you except for a handful of good shows, and I'm torn about what to do. Walking dead, game of thrones, fargo, etc....do you watch these?

Yup I follow a few shows but finding them through other means is quite easy if you're willing to do it.
If the regional games are blacked out then what is the point of this? Can I use a VPN?
I heard that they're going to have a product for super cheap (like $3 a month) where you can just watch the last 5 minutes of any game or OT or shootout.
This sounds like the same group of people just rebranding their ####ty product.
If it was an alternative to GCL, then we're talking.
GCL was Neulion and now this is MLBAM. MLB.tv is far superior to GCL. I would hope that it's close to the same quality (if not equal or better) to MLB.tv. No reason why it shouldn't be.
So is this going to be an automatic update then for GCL users? I didn't get an email or anything notifying me. GCL has left much to be desired, especially on console. PC is passable.
I don't understand why you can't just pay the sports net add on package price in addition to the gamecenter price, why do you need an entire cable subscription if those are the only channels you need to not be blacked out?

I've never used MLBAM.
Well assuming it isn't just a US thing - I would guess it will just happen. Rogers adds those other cameras for some games (which I don't know if anyone actually uses), so I wouldn't certain this same thing will come to Canada right away.

Rogers owns properties they want you to continue subscribing to so you don't/can't abandon cable entirely. Other cable providers feel the same. They're in...cahoots! Gasp. Shock. Etc.
