Last game at Rexall Place
Hey all, as some of you may know, I have recently relocated to Edmonton. I am at an impasse, my mother called me up today, and said that she is taking my brother and me to the last game at Rexall, a mother/son thing.
I obviously said that I would go, but inside I am cringing, as the greasers play the canucks. Is it bad form to wear a Flames jersey? Or should I just wear my hockey Canada cap and team Canada jersey?
Damn, not really looking forward to being around all of those mouth breather oiler fans.

I'd wear the Hockey Canada jersey myself. Personally, I'd never wear the jersey of a rival team not playing. And given those two fanbases, nothing to gain by wearing a Flames jersey.
That said, despite the two teams involved, going to the last game at Rexall is pretty cool.

Buy an Oilers jersey and throw it on the ice. Or, since you are in Edmonton, stealing one is fine too.

Do not be the guy that wears the jersey of a team not playing.
Just wear the shirt you wore that day.

Also try on your sweat pants and get scuffing up your dress shoes.

Personally, I wouldn't even wear the Canada jersey. Just wear street clothes.

I agree with not wearing Flames gear to a game like this. It's just asking for trouble with the two teams that are playing for what should just be a nice family outing.
Hockey rivalries are great, but nothing beats quality family time, so I wouldn't tempt drunk idiots to act out on you.

You could always start a riot like when Spinal Tap visited Springfield.

I hope the last game at Rexall is a debacal of monumental proportions and the fans boo the Oilers off the ice. What a way to end an era there. One last jersey throw. One last round of boos and debris on the ice. One last walk through the boo tunnel.

If it was me, I'd wear a paper bag over my head and carry a fire extinguisher. I wouldnt want to be seen anywhere near that tire fire.

Clearly you should wear a Rider jersey, so you can match the d-baggery of the two other fan bases.
