Canadian poker fans rejoice, we now have the opportunity to win millions and make a TV final table in our own country!
WPT To Introduce WPT Canada
Exciting news to be sure, even though there's really only two current casinos in Canada that could come anywhere close to staging a full-fledged, U.S.-style WPT event- River Rock in Vancouver, and Fallsview in Niagara Falls. I guess they'll be holding tourneys at smaller venues as well.
But as a fan of the CPT, especially after playing in the Dimaond Poker Classic main event in Regina in July, I hope this new WPT entity doesn't destroy the CPT and upstage it with higher-ends tourneys held at current CPT venues, like Cash Casino in Calgary, Yellowhead in EDM, and Casino Regina.
