I was a wigger once too. I lived on a farm during those days, had my bling and straw hat. Straight pimpin'.
On another note, anyone else getting sick of these threads?

Maybe a Wiger is like a Liger a la Napoleon Dynamite, but instead of a lion and tiger it is a whale and tiger.

a Wiger? Is that a "soft" g like in "wager"?

I thought a soft g was the sound found in the word goat, and a hard g was the sound in the word giraffe.
Now, about wiggers... I like my fair share of rap music, but I'm definitely not a wigger. I don't wear the gigantic medallion, the super baggy pants or the upside down visor. The white guys that do, look comical, but I ask you: why does that make them a wigger? If a black guy wears "normal" jeans, and listens to GNR and Metallica, sans bling, does that mean he's trying to be white?
And how come any guy with the slightest tinge of brown in his skin is not a wigger (or racial variation thereof) but the white guy is?

Good questions..... Well - it's all in the attitude. The walk/talk. Ya...I was a wigger. If you just listen to music your just a music lover.
If you drive a truck, listen to GNR, have a cowboy hat and spit a lot... Your a redneck. lol So, a black/ brown or tanned man would have a hint o' red neck...

The wierd thing about the term 'Wigger', is that it was originally applied to Black guys who 'tried' to be too white. Like a black guy wearing nothing but Eddie Bauer or something like that. Oprah did a whole show on "Wiggers" where it was blacks trying to be white.
Maybe we don't have enough black people here, so we don't apply the slang properly? It definitely works on those skinny white try-hards who's pants are always falling down... so I don't mind the use of it

Good post.
It's funny that something such as fashion is seen as race specific.
Of course, they are cultural and originate from certain places, but why that makes them colour specific is beyond me.
Reminds me of a Fresh Prince episode where Carlton didn't get let into a Frat because he wasn't black enough.
Only this is the reverse. White guys who aren't white enough.
