Color me unimpressed with how he's been handled this year. 2 games to show his worth behind a team at the peak (I hope) of their struggles this season.

I wonder how sour Ortio is now:
1) Ramo gets signed in offseason, so Ortio doesn't get to be part of the 2015-16 tandum
2) Ramo and Hiller are brutal to start and Ortio only gets two starts before the plug is pulled on him
3) Sits on the bench the rest of the time getting no development
Don't know how he could be happy with the past few months. Bad asset management.

Who knows, maybe in a couple years Ortio might be a good NHL goalie. He isn't ready yet though. Don't think he gets claimed.

Ramo got sent to the minors, Hillier got hurt, Ortio had the biggest opportunity of his career, the ball was handed to him on a silver platter but he fumbled it and had the worst performance of any three of the goalies. No one to blame but himself.

I don't like this. He's been bad in his two starts, but Ramo and Hiller haven't been, and aren't going to be much better. Orito should have been given more shots.
If he gets claimed, I could see it biting the Flames in the ass down the road. Treliving has effed up the goaltending situation since there is no one reliable in net, and now may lose out on a young goalie who hasn't gotten much of a shot.

Finally! Personally I don't care if he gets claimed or not as I don't see him being part of the future given how Hartley has been so terrified to start the guy. Hiller and Ramo have been as bad as any goaltenders have been in the NHL in recent history on any team and Ortio still wasn't seen as an upgrade over them by the head coach. Doubt he gets claimed anyway.
That said management totally mismanaged the situation and while Ortio didn't grasp the opportunity it's blown up in the face of everyone involved.

Been handled poorly but don't think he really stepped up either.
One of the things that was noted by some is that he hasn't been great in practice either. Needs to go down, find his game, and gain some confidence again.

Any team that picks up Ortio will have to have put him on their NHL roster causing them to a waive a goalie or enjoy the three headed monster if I am not mistaken.
For that reason I think he clears
