From Buffalo's perspective, we filled a couple of holes. Ramo makes a much better backup for Quick. I was happy to make that swap. I think Winnipeg was too mind you.

Abdelkader is more of a force than Wilson is right now and I can throw him on the PP1 where as I couldn't/wouldn't do that with Wilson. This also allows me to move Craig Smith up to 2nd line RW where I had envisioned him playing since I traded for him a month ago.

Gregory Campbell comes in because I missed Malhotra more than I thought I would. I need a guy to take crucial face offs and Campbell fits the bill nicely. I don't mind losing Tlusty because he has been pissing me off since I took over the team. The guy is a non-factor (or worse) most games. Hopefully Winnipeg can turn his game back around. Buffalo says good riddance.

I'll miss Engelland but I get much younger with Redmond and he is also a small upgrade.

Overall, I'm happy with the moves.

I like it slightly for Jets. Just think Wilson is the best piece and Ramo won't ever be a true #1. If Ramo does become a #1 then an easy win for Sabres.

From the Jets perspective, Abdelkader was our best player but Wilson is younger and still has some room to grow, losing 1 ovr point isn't a downgrade IMO, And we'll be giving Wilson some #1 C time once converted. I feel like there's going to be some instant Chemistry with our boy Nichushkin.

Tlusty is a middler winger the Jets could use for some scoring touch. Campbell was an excellent FO and PK guy but the Jets need scoring.

Ramo.... well I lost 7 points on the OVR scale which isn't everything but i feel like Tokarski has some good upside and can win the Jets some games. Younger is better.

Redmond for Engelland give the Jets some better defensive coverage. We have a bunch of goo puck movers but really only had Ericsson as a better-ish Defender. We needed more in that department. Hiller cant win every game making almost 40 saves a night.

All in all I feel this trade was well rounded for both teams. We both address what we feel is wrong with our team.
