Where are some good options to get your taxes done?

I hear H&R block is brutal and I know you can do them yourself but I'm lazy. I just want to hand it off to someone who's done a return before and experienced. All suggestions welcome

One of my dad's old employees was from Switzerland. He used to go to the post office, grab the tax book, throw his T4 and anything else he had and mail it to the tax man. They would do it for him, and for years he thought this was how everybody did their taxes. I had no idea they would do them for you.

So maybe you could try that....though the return may not be favorable...

They don't allow you to do that anymore. Also, your return would likely be the same, especially if there are only T slips. It's not like CRA would put in false numbers.

Download StudioTax for free and finish you taxes in 15 minutes to an hour max. Probably less lazy to do it yourself then finding someone else to do it, unless your taxes are unusually complex.

If you are basic T4s, rrsp, studio tax is fantastic. 15min and your done.

The HR block guys take a 4hr course and just punch in the numbers into software.

Yes you do but unless he/she's earning a lot (more than the basic personal amount) I doubt he'll have to pay anything.

It's a good idea to file early anyways because it gives him/her an early start in creating some RRSP deduction room which will help later on.
