Won't do a back-up for this one - just a single DH.
The DH position is Bizzaro land for the Jays. So many strange names. Canseco. Fullmer. And I think I had blocked out the fact that Frank Thomas was a Jay until this thread.

For me it is between two 1 year guys who were both so important: Winfield and Molitor. As much as I want to give it to Molitor, Winfield brought a veteran leader, demanded NOISE, and had the clutch hit in the decisive game to bring the organization their first WS.

Went with Paul Molitor. Short time with the team but somewhat more of a favorite for me than Winfield.

But I think you are missing Cliff Johnson - he was Jays first DH that I remember and played that position for a few years IIRC.

Can we go Bautista as RF and put Joe Carter as DH? Gotta go with Molitor then.

Molitor easily. He was epic in the world series in 93. If you ask me him and Alomar set the table for Olerud to have that freak outlier season.

Not that he would win, but Encarnacion could have been an option for the poll. Has put together quite a few nice seasons now. My apologies if he was in the 1B poll but I don't recall that he was.
