Price was just too good this year. Should win the Hart and the Vezina.

Price is my vote. Most valuable player in the league this year.

Price should win this hands down. I imagine this vote will be a blow out.

Everyone attacked me in the other thread, but I still think Ovi should get the Hart. 20% more goals than the guy chasing him in an era of low scoring. 50 goals is an incredible feat nowadays.

All eastern nominees. Probably justified for this award though.
It's gotta be Price

Not that I think Benn should be nominated, but this has to be one of the only times the Art Ross winner hasn't at least been nominated for the Hart, no?

I'd vote Ovie. But I would not complain one bit if Price won it. Both are incredibly deserving of the award.

Tavarres was my favourite for most of the season, but he started to fall off a little near the end.
I would still like to see him get it as I love his overall game, but if I am being honest then Price would be my pick. Although Ovechkin's 53 goals stand out and people love goals more then they love people stopping them.

I love Ovie but Price deserves it. I didn't watch a lot of MTL this season but If game 6 was an indication of how he played all season then it's a no brainer.

Price, no doubt in my mind.

Anyone else think goalies shouldn't be nominated for this award? They already have a 'best goalie' trophy. There is no 'best forward' trophy -- only a 'most points' trophy.

Giordano plays 62 games - not even a Norris candidate
Price plays 65 games - Hart and Vezina frontrunner

I agree that goalies and defencemen shouldn't be eligible for the Hart. I get that it's supposed to go to the "most valuable player", but to me it makes the Norris and Vezina seem like second-rate awards as it obviously takes more to win the Hart. You may be crowned the best defenceman/goalie in the league but it doesn't mean you're good enough to be a MVP finalist.
Price got nominated for the Hart and Rinne and Dubnyk didn't, I wonder who's going to win the Vezina...

Goalies play 60 min per game though. That's why anything over 70 games is considered a lot for any starter.

You guys know there is a difference between best and most valuable, right? You could be the best player on a team of all stars without being all that crucial to your team's success or you could be the difference that takes a crappy team beyond expectations. In Price's case, he is both the best and the most valuable.
